Dear OLAG Family,
Another year is about to end, and a new one will, undoubtedly, follow in its stead. As we celebrate the joyous season of Christmas, we reflect on the values that have guided us throughout the year. Our annual theme, “OLAG, Moulding Purpose-Driven Minds,” has been a constant reminder of our commitment to nurturing young minds that are driven by purpose, passion, and values.
As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, we are reminded of the importance of living a life of purpose, compassion, and service. May the true spirit of Christmas inspire us to become beacons of hope, kindness, and love in our communities.
As we take a break from our academic pursuits, let us not forget the lessons we have learnt and the values we have embraced. May our purpose-driven minds continue to shine bright, guiding us towards a brighter future for ourselves and those around us.
As part of the desire to drum home the goals of the school and to inspire students to live purpose-driven lives, there is a general vacation assignment for students, and parents and guardians are urged to make sure their wards do this assignment as expected. This is to help them appreciate in context the whole idea of developing purpose-driven minds and living purpose-driven lives.
Christmas is a time when we remember what God has done for us and how we too can respond to God’s love. The school management is forever grateful to God for his abundant blessings upon our lives and our institution and all its stakeholders. We acknowledge the blessings bestowed on us through the benevolence of our benefactors and benefactresses, most especially the Staley family, the OLG church leadership and community, the generous donors to Rise and Shine, and the leadership that manages it. A special appreciation goes to the Nina Simone Foundation in California, USA, for extending their helping hand to our school by funding our music and cultural programme. You all have contributed to making the joy of Christmas complete. May God bless you all.
We are also forever grateful to our bishops, past and present, Most Rev. Joseph Osei Bonsu and Most Rev. John Opoku Agyemang, for their guidance and prayerful support over the years. We also want to express profound appreciation to the hardworking Board and the wonderful parents who have been in mutually beneficial partnership with the school management on this journey of moulding purpose-driven minds. The school management is also grateful to the highly committed staff who spend night and day making sure that the set agenda is implemented to the letter. And we can’t forget our wonderful students, who have consistently demonstrated their readiness to participate fully, actively, and consciously in this journey of formation.
The OLAG family wishes you and your loved ones a joyous Christmas season, filled with love, laughter, and all the blessings of the season. May the son of God be born in our minds and in our hearts, and may the New Year bring us renewed purpose, passion, and commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
