MISS OLAG AND PERFECT GENTLEMAN 2025

In the custom of showcasing glamour, charisma and character, the annual pageantry season returned with a fresh new bevy of damsels and a line of gentlemen all poised to stride the carpets of OLAG royalty. With a grand launch on June 7, Miss OLAG and PGM 2025 opened the curtains for a season of refined stagecraft and insightful entertainment — four weeks of unforgettable performances.
The event premiered with a colourful opening ceremony, unveiling all twenty contestants in their beautiful gowns and suits. School authorities highlighted the pageant’s vision of empowering young individuals through the school’s theme for the year. Speaking on the focus of this year’s edition, the acting patron and esteemed judges set the ball rolling with the reveal of a stirring theme  “Harnessing Potential for Positive Transformation”. The stage was set ablaze by performances from various dance troupes, music bands and the contestants as well, keeping the audience at the edge of their seats throughout the entire show.
Contestants were tasked to give a brief presentation on any African country of their choice. Utilising their own unique preferences from various forms of performance art, ranging from dance to drama and even poetry, the contenders endeavoured to showcase distinctive elements in their given countries. The audience dispersed that night enlightened by the substance in the various presentations, and even more so eager to witness how the rest of the show unfolds.
Talent Night. This second quarter of the event, which came off on June 14, focused on strong themes of creativity and skill, a suitable platform for the contestants to prove themselves and build fellowship within the audience through an exhibit of talent, novelty, and artistry in execution. The night climaxed with a delightful model dance choreography.
On June 21, the contestants, immaculately dressed in their ethnic attires, educated the audience on profound cultural topics in Ghana. After captivating bystanders with their presentations, the contestants returned in glamorous gowns and suits, effortlessly hooking all eyes to their beauty, as they took confident strides on the pageant runway. Despite the elegance radiating off the contenders, eviction proved to be an inevitable force in the competition, downsizing nearly half the weight on the scale. And now between the mix of predictable and unforeseen eliminations, only one question remained – “Who would wear the crown?”
Cutting-edge blazers and sparkling robes clouded the night of July 12, after all what else was one to expect from the grand finale! The competition set sail after a series of exotic performances, including an amazing dance choreography by the ten finalists. Through informative presentations, the finalists reiterated the weight of some pressing social issues, building awareness on their impact nationwide, and to the immediate society. An education that resonated deeply with the audience and judges as well.
With a breath-taking display of evening attire, the tension in the atmosphere was quickly nullified, elevating the spirits of all those who bore witness to intricate craftsmanship evident in their costume designs. But glamour could only go so far in the face of the final segment of the day, a nerve-racking Q&A session that tested the mental capacity of the finalists. In a sequence of pairs, each finalist mounted up the podium to measure their wits against thought-provoking questions pertaining to Sustainable Development Goals.
Emerging as the stars of the night were Miss Daniella Osei Amponsah of 2 Science 1, who was crowned Miss OLAG 2025, and Master Ernest Adjei Oppong of 2 Science 4, who clinched the coveted title of Perfect Gentleman 2025. Their grace, eloquence, and brilliance throughout the competition left a lasting impression on both judges and the audience, earning them a cash prize of GHS 1,000.00 each, alongside certificates, plaques, and a sash as symbols of their triumph.
Hearty congratulations go to our winners for their well-deserved victory. Their success stands as a beacon of what dedication, confidence, and talent can achieve when nurtured in the right environment.
