In its commitment to nurturing visionary leaders and forward-thinking innovators, Our Lady of Grace Senior High School, Mamponteng, proudly celebrates the participation of nine of its students in the 2025 Edition of the Ashesi Innovation Experience (AIX), hosted by Ashesi University.
The two-week residential programme, which happened from July 27 to August 10, 2025, brought together some of the brightest minds from across the country to explore creativity, sharpen leadership abilities, expand social networks, and foster innovation. It was a dynamic platform where future changemakers were equipped with critical skills to tackle global challenges with local relevance.
At AIX, students were immersed in interactive workshops, design thinking challenges, and team-based projects, all led by accomplished mentors and facilitators. They also benefited from the rich academic environment and values-driven leadership culture that Ashesi University is renowned for.
The highlight of the school’s participation was the remarkable showing of three students whose performances not only earned accolades but also embodied the spirit of excellence Our Lady of Grace SHS is known for.
Wunzoya Fadina Sule distinguished herself in the Creative Arts Module, winning the “Most Engaged” award for her consistent energy, originality, and collaborative spirit. Her recognition underscored the importance of creativity as a driver of innovation and problem-solving.
Afia Frimpomaa Afriyie Danquah emerged as one of the event’s most celebrated participants, receiving the “Best Team Player” award in the Engineering Module and an “Honourable Mention” in the Community Helper Award. Her recognition reflected both her technical competence and her unwavering commitment to teamwork and service.
Gloriann Akuorkor Adjaottor also made the school proud, winning the “Best Team Player” award in the Engineering Module, while her group went on to claim the prestigious Best Group Work Award in Cohort B. Her achievement demonstrated not only her leadership and collaboration skills but also the capacity of Our Lady of Grace students to thrive in competitive, high-stakes environments.
The participation of OLAG students in this prestigious programme was a testament to the school’s unwavering dedication to academic excellence, character development, and transformative learning experiences beyond the classroom. It underscores the school’s vision of preparing students not just to succeed, but to lead with integrity, innovation, and impact.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Ashesi University for providing such a forward-thinking and empowering platform for students across Ghana. OLAG is truly grateful for this continued partnership that helps shape future-ready leaders grounded in purpose and guided by principle.
As the students engaged in this transformative journey, they carried with them the core values of Our Lady of Grace Senior High School — Knowledge, Morality, and Service — and the hopes of their community, inspired and ready to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
