2024 Freshers inter house games

The inter-house games returned with even greater fervor, proving to be far more competitive than in previous years. This annual sports competition, held on December 5, 2024, was among the four vibrant houses on campus: St. Paul, St. Mary, St. Joseph, and St. Thomas.

As the day arrived, excitement buzzed through the air with observers filling the stands, all eager to witness the thrilling events unfold. The competition showcased a variety of track and field events, drawing enthusiastic participation from students determined to secure the coveted cup for their houses. Events included sprinting races like the 100m, 200m, and longer distances such as the 800m, 3000m, and 5000m, along with team-based footraces like the baton relay. The field events featured long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and javelin, alongside team sports such as football and basketball.

As the games progressed, the tension in the stadium heightened with each race and throw, rivalries flared as each contestant fought fiercely for victory. The results unfolded dramatically, with the lead shifting unpredictably among the houses, leaving the ultimate champion undetermined until the very end.

When the final event concluded, anticipation had bystanders on their toes, eager to hear the final outcome: St. Mary House triumphed, taking home the trophy for the very first time, while St. Joseph House secured a commendable second place. In a surprising twist, St. Paul House claimed third, edging out St. Thomas House, who finished fourth after a hard-fought battle.

The day’s events captured the spirit of competition, serving not only as a platform for athletic prowess but also as an avenue for selecting talented sportsmen and women. Beyond the thrill of rivalry and record-breaking achievements, the inter-house games fostered teamwork, embodying the core value of service that lies at the heart of our school. As the sun set and the stadium emptied, a day filled with joy, disappointment, and unforgettable memories came to an end, and everyone already looked forward to next year’s showdown.
